What we collect
Browsing the directory requires no account and no personal information. If you submit a correction, a photo or a new temple, we store what you typed, and your name and email only if you chose to give them. We also store a one-way hash of your IP address to block automated spam — the original address is not kept.
Location
“Use my location” asks your browser for your coordinates so we can sort temples by distance. The coordinates are sent to our server with that request and used only to order the results. We do not store them and we do not build a profile from them. If you decline the prompt, everything else on the site still works.
Third parties
Map tiles are served by OpenStreetMap and some images are served by Unsplash; loading them reveals your IP address to those services under their own privacy policies. Links to Google Maps open on Google's own terms.
Your data
We do not sell or share submission data. To have a submission removed, email admin@templenavigator.com with enough detail to identify it.
